Massage balls with spikes provide specific trigger point relief. Sore muscles should be carefully massaged with limited pressure at first because this massage ball roller is very dense and self-massage can be very intense.

Compression + Tension + Movement are required to help tight sore muscles release. The spikes on this self-massage ball are design to get more traction on stubborn tissue so more compression and tension can be used when movement is initiated. The last thing you want is the underneath your myofascial release tool moving around become sufficient traction is prevent compression of the tissue.

The Spiky Massage Ball is  more aggressive than the Lacrosse Ball when it comes to releasing compromised tissues all over the body (legs, back, arms and shoulders).

See our instructional videos for how to use your Spiky Ball.

*See a professional physical therapist or Medical Doctor to assess injuries prior to use.

You can also introduce rolling back and forth.

Upper Body

While in side laying position (knees bent or straight), place the spiky ball on the outside of your armpit about 3" below your shoulder while laying on your side with the upper arm stretched. A straightened elbow will increase the intensity

Be Careful

How tough is it?

We wouldn't recommend using this ball against drywall as you can see here what will happen to your walls. Similarly, be cautious applying pressure to your tissue because if it has this effect on drywall imagine how uncomfortable you'll feel if you press too hard for too long.
